Stairway Games (“SWAG”) today proudly announces the development of Coral Island; a re-imagined farm sim game inspired by classics. Grow crops, nurture animals, and befriend the islanders. Dive into the ocean and decide whether to revitalize not only the town but also the surrounding coral reefs.

Keeping intact what makes classic farm sim games fun, Coral Island aims to modernize and make the experience more inclusive. The game features a large cast of diverse characters and weaves environmental awareness into the core game loop. In addition to genre staples like farming and ranching, Coral Island adds diving as a key feature to the game — a new and never-before-seen mechanic.

Players dive into the ocean to clear the seabed of trash — in turn, saving coral, paving way for rare fish, and finding resources to hone the quality of crops and livestock, while at the same time, allowing them to partake in community projects. This positive feedback loop affects both player progression and the island itself.

The game is set to release on Steam, as an Early Access title late this year (Q4 2021). SWAG is launching a Kickstarter campaign on February 1st, 2021.
