Madrid facility coincides with the company's 200th hire! Mediatonic
With locations already in London, Brighton and Guildford, Mediatonic Madrid location originally opened in 2017 in a 5 person co-working space. The team there have grown so rapidly that after two office moves, Mediatonic Madrid have now found a new home for their studio that'll allow them to meet their aim to increase headcount from 20 to 70 by 2021. This follows a hugely successful round of funding earlier this year that has enabled the company to invest significantly into the development of its own original games and continued work on distinguished franchises for the likes of Microsoft, Square Enix and Warner Bros.
Dave Bailey, Co-Founder of Mediatonic, commented “It was an amazing moment to celebrate the new studio in Madrid. The local games community is incredibly engaged, with people traveling from right across Spain to take part and show their support. It was great to hear Developers talking about important issues in the industry and share what they've learned and I hope this new space can contribute and encourage these kind of positive conversations. Most of all, we got to play games together and enjoy the moment as we look to an exciting future growing in Spain.”
