devcom advisory boards announced – new Core Advisory Board focusing on content and topics, Strategic Advisory Board focusing on the event overall concept and strategy

Today we are very happy to introduce the new devcom advisory board, which consists of two groups: The Core Advisory Board, responsible for creating our top notch program and for identifying the most relevant topics for game developers in 2019 and our Strategic Advisory Board, that helps us to position devcom as an must attend event for games industry professionals from all over the world.

In cooperation with our international board of renowned game development experts from twelve different countries and studio heads from indie to AAA, devcom not only creates a diverse conference program that is tailored to the actual needs of the global games development community, from beginner to top-tier veteran, but also serves as the perfect platform to easily meet and connect with industry and media representatives from all over the world.

Each member of our Core Advisory Board either runs their own development team(s), is a studio lead, or is directly responsible for creating content and great games daily. The board’s goal is to create a program that really fits the needs of game developers from all over the world.

Together with Nico Balletta, our Head of Program, they designed our schedule for 2019 and already named about 60 concrete lectures and panel discussions, which also serve as the baseline for our Call for Papers.

The members of our Strategic Advisory Board are long time games professionals from all over the world, supporting devcom in all strategic matters and thereby helping us to make devcom one of the world’s best game developer events.

Nico Balletta, devcom’s Head of Program: „We are extremely proud to not only have one, but two incredibly diverse and international advisory boards on our side, with – literally speaking – more than a couple of centuries of accumulated experience in creating games. Working with these influential and creative powerhouses from all over the world is an honor, and the range of topics – from procedural content creation from an artistic, technical or even acoustic angle over community-driven game development to ‚Games as a Service‘, to give you only a slice of this year’s program – already something to look forward to.“

Rebecka Coutaz (Studio Manager Ubisoft Annecy): “In a constantly evolving market, devcom is a great opportunity to share and discuss the topics that will shape our industry over the coming years. I’m proud to be able to bring Ubisoft Annecy’s AAA and live game experience to the table and am looking forward to great talks and meeting inspiring people!”
