DreamHack is going mobile, launching the DreamHack Mobile Series. A mobile esports tournament series in the games Clash Royale and Brawl Stars, with a collective prize pool of $20,000 per event. The DreamHack Mobile Series will premiere at DreamHack Dallas, May 31 – June 2, 2019, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX, USA.
DreamHack, the premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival, as well as creators of esports tournament properties DreamHack Masters, DreamHack Open, DreamHack Fighting Game Championships, DreamHack Pro Circuit, DreamLeague, and more, is venturing into mobile esports with the creation of the DreamHack Mobile Series – a two-game tournament with a collective prize pool of $20,000 per event.
“At DreamHack we’ve always been optimistic towards mobile esports, but we have also been cautious to get involved“, said Michael Van Driel, Chief Product Officer at DreamHack AB, “We now believe the time is right to really jump in head first, and we believe that the DreamHack Mobile Series will bring the right mix of a professional esports experience alongside open competition that fits the ideal structure for mobile esports.”
Both DreamHack Mobile Series titles, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars, have seen huge success since their respective launch, with millions of downloads and a fan base that’s ever growing.
