Factions of Deck of Ashes The vile creatures in Deck of Ashes embody the many facets of the evil and devastating Ash Curse that has ruined the land, and each location in the game is teeming with these horrors — from the Undead to rogue Human Cannibals — and you must know how to confront each foe, for unpreparedness means certain death!

In Deck of Ashes, each location is home to a different enemy faction. For example, Undead may be found in cemeteries, while Human Cannibals may be found lingering amongst the public in towns. The factions consist of:

Beasts(for example, Wereboar, Rat)
Undead (for example, Skeleton or Nosferatu)
Infestors (Spore, Plaguebearer)
Ghosts (Hanged Man, Shadow)
Humans (Cannibal, Rogue)
Demons (Succubus, Ifrit)

In the game, you can choose to either work at building a deck aimed at effortlessly defeating one specific faction, or you can choose to play as a jack-of-all-trades, utilizing a deck that is powerful against many different types of enemies. Adventurers should beware — the further you travel from Camp, the higher difficulty enemies become. Additionally, each class has its own strengths and weaknesses and is designed to counter different strategies. No one deck will yield the same results against enemies in differing factions and locations.
