NAVI and Shadow Announce Partnership

ESports

Shadow, top esports analytics platform, has joined with esports organization Natus Vincere in a content-based partnership that will showcase how NAVI is using Shadow in its practice and preparation as one of the best CS:GO teams in the world. Regular content produced by NAVI, featuring Shadow CS:GO, will give the wider esports industry audience insight into how a top team practices, what data they need access to, and how Shadow streamlines data aggregation and insights to produce improved performance.

Shadow, a DOJO Madness company, is a comprehensive esports analytics platform developed specifically to address the needs of professional esports teams and broadcast partners. The individual Shadow platforms for Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive automate, enhance, and streamline the gathering of match analytics. Shadow CS:GO features a match database, automated strategic analysis, and the Shadow Holo-Engine which is unique in its ability to create a 3D replay of a match directly in the Shadow web client. This allows teams to seamlessly review demos in both 2D and 3D on a single platform.

As esports matures as an industry, teams can no longer be the best just by having the most skilled players. They must also find other ways to get the edge on their opponents, which is why tools such as Shadow are becoming important to the success of the top organizations. Together Shadow and NAVI will showcase how professional players and coaches can use data and analytics effectively to produce success on the international competitive stage.

Mykhailo «Kane» Blagin, Coach of NAVI.CS:GO:

“The pro scene is constantly changing, and keeping track of new and unique tactics is very difficult. Especially when you find out who your next opponent is at night, and you need to face them the next morning. In such situations, Shadow comes to rescue — an analytical program that focuses on the details and allows you to track the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. It shows the purchases of the teams, and also gives information about the preferred positions of the players. We can pinpoint how the enemy plays on force buys or where the snipers usually position themselves.

Anyone who works with replays(demos) knows how long it takes the game to rewind. If you need to study a certain round, you have to wait each time while the game rolls it back to the start. In Shadow, you can instantly replay the most important moments of the game, saving minutes of precious time that would have been wasted. Also, CS:GO replay system does not show the Molotov and grenade trajectories. This is fixed in Shadow. I am glad that today NAVI are starting a partnership with Shadow. We will be able to quickly and thoroughly prepare for a matchup with an enemy. When they decide to surprise us, we will be ready for it, starting with the very basics of the tactic – flash grenade.”

Tim «Magic» Sevenhuysen, Head of Shadow:
“Our goal at Shadow is to be relied on daily by the world’s best esports teams. We’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with NAVI to not only showcase how effective the right analytics can be when put into action at the highest levels of competition, but also to delve deeper into what a team like NAVI needs so we can continue to improve Shadow with new innovations and lead the charge for the esports analytics industry.”
