Berlin-based Freaks 4U Gaming today announces that joinDOTA, its well-known community platform for Valve’s popular MOBA Dota 2, will be welcoming new teams to register for the upcoming season of its renowned league format as of today, January 10, until January 27, 2019.
As they advance through the three phases of Season 15 between February 4 and April 28, 2019, teams from Europe, Asia and America will play in different divisions. While amateur teams try to climb the ranks as they prove themselves against their competitors, the highest ranking teams will assemble in the Premier Division. There, the four most successful teams will earn the chance to advance to an additional final phase, where they will be playing for their share of the $12,000 total prize pool on offer.
Setting apart Season 15
In a break from tradition, Season 15 features smaller groups and no playoffs for the Amateur Divisions, resulting in a more fluid tournament process. This way, players now get to schedule their play days as they see fit, face off opponents at their skill levels much sooner and eventually climb the ladder to the top of the pile. Each Premier Division match will be streamed live via joinDOTA’s official Twitch channels with commentary by Gareth Bateson and other Dota 2 experts from joinDOTA’s Berlin-based studios.
Over the years joinDOTA has established itself as a well-known community website for Dota 2 players all over the world, gathering almost 100,000 players and 23,000 teams participating in the joinDOTA League so far, with over 75,000 fans watching live streams of Premier Division matches last season.
