“Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War really feels like a leap forward in the ambitions of Pixel Toys as a developer,” said Andy Wafer, co-founder of Pixel Toys, “We’ve built our team and our reputation around bringing our experience in console development to bear in the mobile gaming space. With our last release, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, we set out to create the most exciting, high impact action title for touch screen devices and now we’re set to do the same for tactical action games with Realm War”.
“The Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe is renowned for its elaborate and intricate character design,” Wafer continued, “and our team has been working tirelessly to bring the Age of Sigmar fantasy world to life in incredible detail in a way it’s never been seen before”.
Realm War promises deep, involved gameplay in fast-moving & intense battle arenas which fans of Games Workshop, Real-time action Card Battlers and Strategy games alike will find instantly familiar and appealing. Players will build their own unique decks around 3 principle unit types - Generals, Heroes and Summons - and will need to tailor their tactics to meet each new challenge across the games ever-expanding universe.
Wafer added “Pixel Toys has always taken pride in being at the forefront of mobile gaming technology whether it be our early adoption of Augmented Reality or being one of the first games to make full use of 3D touch & the A9 chip with Freeblade. With Realm War we’re very much still in that space with our unique AR free camera replay system which we think online content creators and casters are going to have a lot of fun with. In fact, we are keen to make Realm War a player driven game and intend to work closely with the community to build on it over time”.

Following the success of their initial release, Gunfinger, which has seen over 3m installs and the multi award winning launch of Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade in 2015, Pixel Toys continues to enjoy year-on-year growth and has plans to further expand its development team.
