Thief of Thieves: Season One is a story driven game of heists and stealth. The season finale launches today on Steam.
Turku, Finland, July 30th - Thief of Thieves: Season One, a video game based on Robert Kirkman’s best selling comic, launches the season finale today on Steam. Thief of Thieves: Season One is developed by the Finnish independent studio Rival Games in close co-operation with the multiplatform entertainment company Skybound Entertainment. Shawn Martinbrough, the artist behind the Thief of Thieves comic, provided concepts behind many of the new characters.
In Thief of Thieves: Season One the player is Celia, the protégé of the master thief Conrad “Redmond” Paulson, who embarks on her first solo heist and meets a whole new team. The gameplay is about stealth and cunning — after all, violence is what separates thieves from thugs.
The price for Thief of Thieves: Season One is $24.99 or 22.99€.
Thief of Thieves: Season One Launch Trailer
"Making a game that is somewhere between Telltale's games and the Hitman series, yet being lite on both ends, has been an interesting challenge, and something the fifteen strong development team managed to capture well.
The game has been mostly positively received, and the weekly launch schedule has been a hectic approach for us. However, we've also been paying close attention to the feedback of the game, especially the problems some of the players had with the combination of the somewhat erratic AI and cinematic, non-controllable cameras. We've been making sure that the side bars on the edge of the screen work as intended, showing the off-screen guards and their behavior more clearly to the player. We'll of course continue to adjust the gameplay experience on Steam and for the upcoming Xbox One launch.
I'll be on a Reddit IAMA later today as well to answer any questions the fans, gamers or people interested about the industry might have, so feel free to drop by at: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/"
