EBay cuts 14,100 From its Global workforce

EBay has cut hundreds of workers from its rolls today, Bloomberg is reporting.

The company has let go a "low single digit" percentage of a global workforce that runs about 14,100.

Shares fell 2.1% today and reached their lowest point since December. They tagged a 52-week low of $33.95 on Nov. 29.

The San Jose, California-based organization cut a "low single-digit rate" of its staff, a representative said in an email, without giving a particular number. "We are honing our emphasis on need activities," and adjusting the workforce to coordinate them, she said.

EBay had 14,100 representatives as of the finish of December 2017, as indicated by filings. The cuts come as Chief Executive Officer Devin Wenig attempts to restore the 23-year-old web based business pioneer's fortunes by expanding the client base and rebranding the stage as a place for individuals to find new items, as opposed to Amazon.com Inc., where customers head when they as of now have a particular item as a main priority.
