HP Enterprise analyst day likely to focus on cloud fight
HP Enterprise ( is set to host an analyst day tomorrow, alongside user conference HPE Discover 2018, where new chief Antonio Neri is expected to issue updates on strategy along with financial guidance.
Morgan Stanley is awaiting updates on the company's lineup that point to its ongoing race into cloud computing technologies against the likes of Cisco and Dell: "We expect the general session keynote will highlight products that are most relevant for building a next-gen hybrid (information technology) or edge computing environment, such as software-defined networking."
Neri could also take up "cloud-based predictive analytics platform Infosight, high-performance computing, and hyperconverged infrastructure," the firm says.
For the fiscal third quarter, analyst consensus is for HPE to deliver non-GAAP EPS of $0.37 on revenues of $7.677B, with EBITDA at $1.365B. Expectations for free cash flow sit just under $800M.
