Chinese EGaming Group To Add Cryptocurrency To Their Prize Pools
China-based Fujian eGaming Tournament Group is in partnership with eSports gaming platform Asura World to host eGame tournaments on its platform and to add its crypto coin ASA to their prize pools.
Fujian eGaming will incorporate China's first reward system combining both China's currency yuan and cryptocurrency.
Fujian eGaming spokeswoman Cheng said, "The majority of our players and audiences are under the age of 30, they are both very interested in gaming and Cryptocurrency, with many preferring to have Cryptocurrency instead of RMB."
Fujian eGaming will also receive 3 years of exclusive hosting and branding rights for the tournament platform within Asura World, which has an in-built tournament interface for users to host their own tournaments with an array of options customized to all needs.
Asura World is probably the world's first self-sustainable eSports platform, powered by NEO blockchain, which is known as the "Ethereum of China." NEO is a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency designed to build a scalable network of decentralized applications.
Asura World is holding a token sale for the ASA Coin, the platform's official utility token. The Initial Coin Offering (ICO) began on June 2 and will end on June 30.
incentives within the platform, which offers eSports betting, live streaming, player matchmaking, tournament hosting, professional coaching and a community platform.
By leveraging the use of NEO blockchain technology, the security of the Asura World platform is improved considerably over traditional centralized systems. Blockchain is able to remove the middle man, human error, make data records tamper-proof, and create a trustless system.
In traditional platforms, members may have lost assets or transactions not processed due to unethical business practices. It also lacked a streamlined or secure funds withdrawal process.
Asura World will focus on a small number of popular games first including DOTA 2, CS:GO and the extremely popular Chinese mobile game, King of Glory. All future games will be decided by the community through a vote-based system.
