SAN JOSE, CA (June 1, 2018) Games Done Quick has today announced that it is heading to TwitchCon 2018. The speedrunning marathon, called Games Done Quick Express (GDQx), will take place October 26-28, 2018 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA and will support charities participating in TwitchCon’s Charity Plaza.

Speedrunning is the art of beating a video game as quickly as possible. A speedrun relies on tricks, extensive planning and the highest levels of play from the amazingly skilled and dedicated gamers that make up the speedrunning community.

Game submissions for runners open July 8, 2018 on the Games Done Quick website and will close on July 14.

GDQx is a continuous marathon open to all TwitchCon attendees to spectate. The marathon will also be broadcast on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.

Tickets for TwitchCon, as well as the GDQx games lineup and schedule, will be announced at a later date.
