Week 2 Power Rankings: Top Two Remain Same

NBA 2K League The second week of the regular season brought with it a strong slate of matchups featuring some of the NBA 2K League’s best teams. But any chaos that could have resulted in drastic changes at the top of the rankings didn’t come to fruition.

The top two teams remained the same with, 76ers GC and Blazer5 Gaming holding down their respective spots for the third week running. Sorting out the next tier is where it begins to get interesting, with no less than five teams making a legitimate case for the No. 3 spot.

  1.  76ers GC

Record: 2-0

Last week: 1

76ers GC made an emphatic statement in maintaining their top spot while dispatching a tough Mavs Gaming club. They have an offensive approach that opposing teams simply haven’t been able to solve. Radiant ran the show with 20 points and 11 assists, while Steez chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds in the win. 76ers GC will be tested in Week 3 as they play their first doubleheader of the season.

  1. Blazer5 Gaming

Record: 2-0

Last week: 2

Squaring off against the hometown team with a rowdy fanbase against them could have spelled doom against Knicks Gaming. And at times on Saturday, it certainly appeared like that would be the case for Blazer5 Gaming. But this team of grinders found a way to get it done, again riding front court mates OneWildWalnut (24 points, 12 rebounds, 6 blocks) and Dat Boy Shotz (23 points) to the narrow victory.

  1. Mavs Gaming

Record: 2-1

Last week: 4

How does a team climb the rankings when they split their weekend doubleheader? Well, when the win comes against a formidable Celtics Crossover Gaming club and the loss is at the hands of the league’s best team, it’s hard to penalize Mavs Gaming.
