SEATTLE – May 4, 2018 – Tickets for PAX Dev 2018, taking place on Tuesday – Wednesday, August 28 – 29 at The Westin Hotel in Downtown Seattle, WA, will become available for purchase this afternoon.

Established in 2011, PAX Dev is one of the industry’s leading events for game makers to hone their skills, providing a nurturing space for industry professionals to learn, share, and interact. As a show free of fans and media, developers can speak freely in a safe and comfortable environment.

Soon to be on sale via the PAX Dev registration page , two-day tickets can be acquired for $339, while student passes cost $275. Discounted “early bird” admission is also available for $330 for a limited time while supplies last. Special guest speakers will receive complimentary Dev badge, as well as an attendee badge for admission to PAX West 2018.

Last year attendees heard a keynote from Warren Spector, had a conversation about crunch with James Portnow, learned about the creation of Pokemon Go from the director of software engineering at Niantic, received tips on the best practices in VR game development from a program manager at Microsoft and more. Game industry professionals interested in speaking at PAX Dev 2018 can submit a panel here.

Produced by ReedPOP, in conjunction with Penny Arcade, the consumer-facing PAX shows – West, East, South, Australia, and Unplugged – have become some of the world’s largest gaming conventions, each with tens of thousands of guests every year. Every convention is a celebration of gaming culture, where prominent game developers connect directly with the gaming community via panels, demos, concerts, tournaments, and freeplay sessions.
