Amazon secretly working on domestic robots
Amazon is furtively chipping away at robots for the home, as per Bloomberg sources.
The residential robot, codenamed "Vesta," is managed by Lab126 equipment R&D division head Gregg Zehr.
The sources didn't determine what the robot does, however, it could be a portable Alexa that pursues a client around the house utilizing propelled cameras and PC vision programming like how a self-driving auto works.
The Vesta venture started a "couple of years back" with a current forceful increase in procuring. Sources say the robots could be in worker homes by the end of the year and with customers as right on time as one year from now.
The purchaser robot market could add up to about $15B a year by 2023, as per Research and Markets information, up from the $5.4B expected for this present year.
