San Francisco, California – Prolific Apps is proud to announce the launch of its first mobile application, Stock Ranker. Developed exclusively for iPhone and iPad, Stock Ranker is a vast resource of analytics to assist investors with stock investment decisions. It combines the power of raw data and analytics to compare and rank companies specifically against their industry peers.
Unlike professional investors, individuals lack the information and resources to easily make profitable data-driven investment decisions in a timely, efficient manner. Stock Ranker allows investors to instantly compare stocks in the same industry group by analyzing metrics most commonly recommended by investment advisors. The algorithm makes over 38,000 calculations in a matter of seconds, updated daily, saving individual investors countless hours of research every day. Within seconds, an investor can find the top ranked stocks in an industry group, for any individual category, or across all categories combined.
Stock Ranker takes over 1700 of the most actively trades stocks from the NYSE and NASDAQ and sorts them into 48 industry groups. Next, it compares and ranks each stock against its industry peers, using 22 metrics, including elements of fundamental and price performance, analyst projections of future performance, business metrics and key financial ratios. The results are converted into color-coded percentile rankings, for easy, visual interpretation. A proprietary APR index gives each stock a composite overall score for objective, peer to peer comparisons.
What makes Stock Ranker unique is the comprehensive amount of analytics and data it uses to make peer to peer comparisons in an intuitively clear format. Peer comparison is one of the most relevant, yet underutilized, methods of equity analysis. Until now, this degree of analytical depth has been missing in the mobile marketplace.
All at a truly affordable price of $1 per month.
Jeffrey Schram, CEO of Prolific Apps, commented “This represents a new milestone in access to important information in stock selection for average investors. We are excited to level the playing field for all investors to make more informed investment decisions. Stock Ranker is just the first in a series of features and apps that investors can look forward to from Prolific Apps, using our unique algorithms. Look for enhanced customization features, and other highly focused niche-based investment apps in the months to come.”
