Microsoft-Caught-Editing-Xbox-One-Exclusives-Post-Gameboy-Red-Dead-Redemption-coming-to-Xbox-One

Earlier this week numerous sites including IGN ran a story that claimed all future games published from Microsoft Studios would be Play Anywhere.  This would effectively kill the idea of Xbox One exclusives because Play Anywhere means the title is also available on Windows 10 PC.

The quote they used for this story was directly from Microsoft’s blog which read:

Every new title published from Microsoft Studios will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.

Fairly straight forward right?  Not anymore…

You won’t find this quote anymore on Microsoft’s website.  As spotted by The Red Dragon, Microsoft has edited their original post since this story went viral.  Microsoft’s blog statement now reads:

Every new title published from Microsoft Studios that we showed onstage at E3 this year will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.
